Filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola has revealed that he doesnt count The Godfather and Godfather II among his best films.
New York, Nov 10 : Filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola has revealed that he doesn't count 'The Godfather' and 'Godfather II' among his best films.
In the upcoming issue of Time magazine, Coppola listed his top five films, which include 'The Rain People' (1969) at first place and 'The Conversation' (1974) at second.
He placed 'Apocalypse Now' (1979) on third position, 'Rumble Fish' (1983) on fourth and gave the fifth slot to his about-to-be-released 'Youth Without Youth,' based on a novella by Romanian-born philosopher Mircea Eliade and starring Tim Roth.
"The easiest way to make sure a movie is successful is to make a traditional movie very well," the New York Post quoted Coppola, as saying.
"If you make a slightly unusual movie or [don't] exactly follow the rules as everyone sees them, then you get into trouble," he added.
