London, May 2 : American actor Nicolas Cage has reportedly snapped up a house in one of the UK's most posh locations, The Circus, for a staggering 4 million pounds.
The Oscar winning actor is set to buy the 18th century house, which once belonged to Earl of Chatham.
According to a source, the 'Leaving Las Vegas' star was recently seen checking out the house, and is now in the process of completing the sale.
"We-re told he has bought it but I don-t think he-s completed the sale yet. Our daughter saw him in The Circus six months ago," Mirror quoted the source, as saying.
The five-storey townhouse that forms the part of a curved millionaire's row in the heart of Bath, Somerset, has six bedrooms and an indoor swimming pool as well.
Estate agent Knight Frank though confirming that the house is being sold, declined to reveal the identity of the buyer.
Apart from the home in Malibu where he lives with his wife Alice Kim, Cage also owns a house on Paradise Island, Bahamas, which he snapped up in 2004.
In May 2006 Cage bought a 40-acre island in the Exuma archipelago, some 85 miles south-east of Nassau and close to a similar island owned by Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.
The actor also bought the old medieval castle of Schloss Neidstein in the Oberpfalz region in Germany in July 2006.
