Funnyman Rowan Atkinson is set to re-team with his 'Johnny English' director Peter Howitt to refurbish Charles Dickens' David Copperfield.

London, May 3 : Funnyman Rowan Atkinson is set to re-team with his 'Johnny English' director Peter Howitt to refurbish Charles Dickens' David Copperfield.

The 'Mr Bean' star will play Copperfield's landlord Mr. Micawber in the latest version of Dickens' tale.

"It's perfect for Rowan. Micawber is a loveable fool who becomes friends with Copperfield," the Mirror quoted an insider, as saying.

A 20 million pound budget has been secured for the project, which is scheduled to start shooting in 2008.

The last time the story hit the big screen was in 1935 when W.C. Fields played Micawber.
