Actress Mira Sorvino admits that shes finding it really hard to juggle motherhood and her career.
Washington, May 22 : Actress Mira Sorvino admits that she's finding it really hard to juggle motherhood and her career.
The Oscar winning star told People magazine that the reason why she's finding it so hard, is because she feels "guilty" over leaving her kids and going to work.
"I hate it. I feel so guilty because my kids cry so hard when I go to work," she tells the mag.
"I know there are millions and millions of working women out in the world who face this same dilemma, but it just kind of kills me, and I don't know what to do about it," she adds.
Sorvino also admitted that she would love to be so wealthy that she could stop acting and focus on her kids and activism.
"I'd love it if I was independently wealthy and could stop acting and just focus on being a mom and activism," she says.
However, since she has no choice but to earn her livelihood making movies, Sorvino has tried to create a really kid-friendly environment for her kids on the set of her new movie.
"I've tried to make it as much fun for them as possible on the set. I went to FAO Schwarz and got all these things to make the trailer as fun and club-housey as possible," she revealed.
"I made a tent with fabric, bought a beanbag chair and put together an art table where my daughter could paint. But days on the set are a minimum of 12 hours and that's hard for them," she added.
