Washington, June 8 : Welsh singer Charlotte Church has defended Britney Spears and her partying ways, saying that it doesn't make her a bad mum.
The 21-year-old, who is six months pregnant with boyfriend Gavin Henson's baby, took the opportunity to vent off against people who criticise young party animal mums like Spears.
"If you're a woman, you're supposed to stay sober until your kids grow up. That's not fair," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.
"Just because Britney has the odd night on the lash (out drinking) doesn't make her a bad mum. She's still allowed to have a good time every now and again. It would be different if t was every night," she added.
Meanwhile Charlotte picked up TV Personality Of The Year at the Glamour Women Of The Year awards in London on June 5.
