According to reports, Crowe is has set his eyes on 'Dolce's Inferno', a contemporary romantic comedy the script of which has been written by Mark Staufer. But the actor will not star in the movie.

The contemporary romantic comedy revolves around a Los Angeles gossip columnist, whose life spins out of control after he falls in love.

"I'm looking forward to collaborating with Mark, who is such a talented writer," Variety magazine quoted Crowe as saying.

Although Crowe has directed and produced the documentary 'Texas', he is planning to make his dramatic directing debut on 'Bra Boys', a feature adaptation of a documentary about Australian underground surf culture.

The movie is a joint project for Universal and Imagine Entertainment, the company for which Crowe just starred alongside Denzel Washington in the Ridley Scott-directed 'American Gangster'.
