OK! pips People for Eva Longorias wedding pics

Celeb magazine OK! has managed to deal rivals People a blow by snagging the deal to Eva Longoria and Tony Parkers wedding pics.

New York, June 25 : Celeb magazine OK! has managed to deal rivals People a blow by snagging the deal to Eva Longoria and Tony Parker's wedding pics.

Longoria and Parker will be exchanging vows on July 7 in France, and a bidding war had been going on between the two mags to see who would land the rights to cover the do.

OK! won the war by reportedly offering the couple a cool 2 million dollars to cover the event.

A source revealed that bosses at People were pretty piqued, especially since they had broken the news of the couple's impending nuptials, reveals the New York Post.

"People editors broke the story of their wedding and were working hard with Eva's reps [to secure the picture rights. They were upset about losing the photos," the source said.

"It was [entirely] a matter of money, straight up to the final negotiation. Everyone wanted the photos . . . but everyone knows OK! will pay [a lot]," said another source.

OK! editor-in-chief Sara Ivens said that the mag was 'thrilled' to have snagged the deal.

"These were obviously highly coveted photos, and we were thrilled to negotiate the exclusive rights. Covering great moments with the celebrities that we love is what the magazine's all about," she said.
