Computer animated comedy film Shrek the Third ranks first on the list of four movies that generated more than 20 million dollars at the oversees box office at the weekend, with an earning of 48.6 million dollars at 5,737 playdates in 45 markets.

Washington, June 25 : Computer animated comedy film 'Shrek the Third' ranks first on the list of four movies that generated more than 20 million dollars at the oversees box office at the weekend, with an earning of 48.6 million dollars at 5,737 playdates in 45 markets.

Grabbing the second position on the list was Fox's 'Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer', which generated a business of 22.1 million dollars.

'Ocean's Thirteen' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End' are the other two films that topped 20 million dollars each, taking the combined business by the four movies at 112 million dollars.

The total business done by the four films together is three times the combined grosses of the top four films in the same frame last year, when football World Cup had overshadowed film watching, reports Variety magazine.
