Golden Globe award winning actress and author Joan Collins has slammed the UK government for not doing enough for war veterans.

Washington, June 25 : Golden Globe award winning actress and author Joan Collins has slammed the UK government for not doing enough for war veterans.

Hitting out at incoming PM Gordon Brown, the 74-year-old said that Brown is a 'disgrace' and questioned his credentials as a leader of the next government.

"I can't stand the way this government is running the country. Don't get me started. What kind of Prime Minister will Gordon Brown make? The man is a disgrace," Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.

Collins added that Brown is doing nothing for the people's pensions and for improving the life of the aged in the country.

The Dynasty star added that the older people are the ones, who went to war and built this country, and now they are being 'swatted aside'.

"It's utterly shameful what he's doing to people's pensions and how old people are treated in our country. These are the people who went to war and made this country what it is. And now they are being swatted aside," she added.
