Actor Sean Bean has cautioned the teenagers not to take lift from strangers after his role of a hitchhiking serial killer in The Hitcher.
London, June 14 : Actor Sean Bean has cautioned the teenagers not to take lift from strangers after his role of a hitchhiking serial killer in 'The Hitcher'.
The 48-year-old, who has three daughters, revealed that he would never allow his kids to sit an unfamiliar person's car.
"A lot of kids go hitch-hiking in Europe during their gap year. I don't know that I'd let my kids do it though. Actually I know I would mind. I wouldn't tell them to get in a car with anybody. I think it is a weird thing to do, to get into a stranger's car," the Daily Express quoted Bean, as saying.
However, the actor insisted that it was fun acting in the murder film that has been rated R for strong bloody violence, terror and language, as it was 'focused'.
"I found it fun to be honest. It was pretty focused and tense," he said.
"The character is deranged and confused and I just played that confusion. You don't know what he wants. Maybe he just wanted to kill until he was killed himself. Maybe he just didn't care," he added.
Bean revealed that had there been no jokes on the sets, he would have gone 'mad' doing the 'wicked and horrible' acts in the film.
"But because I was doing such wicked and horrible things it was nice to have a bit of a joke in between, otherwise you would go mad," he said.
