Rock star Richie Sambora has reportedly completed his stint at the Los Angeles rehabilitation centre, where he checked in last week.
Washington, June 14 : Rock star Richie Sambora has reportedly completed his stint at the Los Angeles rehabilitation centre, where he checked in last week.
Representatives for the rock band 'Bon Jovi' say that the guitarist has completed a programme at the UCLA Medical Center.
"Richie Sambora has completed a program at the UCLA Medical Center," People magazine quoted a Bon Jovi as saying.
"He is doing well and continues to receive outside support," added the representative.
Sambora's representatives had issued a statement last week in which they had mentioned that the rocker had checked into an undisclosed treatment facility in Los Angeles. They, however, did not mention any specific problem for treating which he had entered rehab.
A close friend of Sambora says that this year has been proving a tough year for the rocker because his divorce from heather Locklear got finalised in April, he lost his father in the same month, and his relationship with girlfriend Danise Richards has also ended.
"Richie has had a terrible year. I think this was a culmination of all these things and finally he realized he needed to take care of himself. He'd put off everything for so long, taking care of everyone else, it was just time to stop and deal with his issues," said his friend.
'Bon Jovi' are set to release their new album 'Lost Highway' on June 19, the day when the rockers perform on the Today show. The group is also scheduled to perform on The View on June 20.
Sambora is expected to be present at both shows.
