London, June 13 : Sean Connery has taken a swipe at Scottish tourist bosses for not backing his homegrown film 'Sir Billi the Vet', and instead promoting 'Shrek 3', which has a billion-dollar global franchise
The 76-year-old, who lent his voice to the title role Sir Billi in the 6million pound low budget film, is upset that VisitScotland did not lend its support to the Scottish cartoon.
The former 007 star finds it surprising that VisitScotland is behaving like this.
"I can't believe they are behaving in such a way," the Sun quoted Connery, as saying
Sir Billi is a 'distinguished gentleman' who lives in a remote village and bears a resemblance to Connery, sporting a grey moustache and a bald head.
Actor Alan Cumming voiced Billi's faithful companion Gordon the Goat, while TV presenter Gail Porter supplied the voice for Billi's daughter, single mother Lady Serena, and Ruby Wax played a brash American.
