Richards thought Depp was his sons sycophantic friend

Legendary guitarist Keith Richards was not looking forward to meeting actor Johnny Depp, for the Rolling Stones member mistook the actor to be one of his sons sycophantic friends.

Washington, July 6 : Legendary guitarist Keith Richards was not looking forward to meeting actor Johnny Depp, for the Rolling Stone's member mistook the actor to be one of his son's sycophantic friends.

The musician, who plays Depp's father in Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End, said that though the Academy award nominee started out to be like his son Marlon's friends, he later worked his way up with him.

"At first it was like, 'Not another one of my f**king son's friends.' Johnny started kind of like that and then he worked his way up with me," Contactmusic quoted Richards, as saying.

However, the 'Finding Neverland' actor has different account of his first meeting with the guitarist.

Depp was quite nervous about meeting Richards because he always had this fear that his heroes are 'going to be s**theads'.

"I was afraid to meet him for a long time. Because there is always a fear that your heroes are going to be s**theads," he said.
