Washington, July 31 : Actor Tyrese Gibson will once again be seen in a road rage flick, for he has signed on to star in a remake of 'Death Race 2000'.
According to reports, the planned movie has been titled 'Death Race 3000'.
The '2 Fast 2 Furious' star will play the lead alongside Joan Allen and Brit Jason Statham in the movie, reports Contactmusic.
Paul W. S. Anderson will direct the movie, which is scheduled to star production in late August.
The original cult action film, directed by Paul Bartel in 1975, revolved around a group of killer racing car drivers. It starred David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone.
