London, July 26 : There is something about being named Paul and becoming a successful pop star, for a new survey has found that till now 57 people with the name have made it to the top of UK singles pop charts from 1953.
Following Paul is the name John, like 'The Beatles' legend Lennon and Queen's Deacon, making it to the charts with 54 best selling works.
David (53) and Brian (43) came at third and fourth places respectively, according to Yahoo! Music.
George completed the top five, at the fifth place.
Ventura Barba from Yahoo! Music Europe said that when assumed that unique names rule pop world, the study has sprung surprise.
"When you think of rock 'n' roll names, you instantly recall the unique ones like Bono, Prince and Slash," the BBC quoted Barba, as saying.
"It's surprising to discover that an everyday name can lay claim to such an accolade," he added.
