Keith Richards impending autobiography has fuelled a multi-million publishing rights conflict.
London, July 26 : Keith Richards' impending autobiography has fuelled a multi-million publishing rights conflict.
According to publishing industry sources, bidding for the Rolling Stones rocker's life story has reached 3.5 million pounds.
London-based literary agent Ed Victor has been conducting the auction in New York this week, inviting just three houses to offer bids. HarperCollins and Little, Brown, a division of the Hachette Book Group USA, are the major publishing house which are in the running for the book.
Richards' memoir will most probably cover his two arrests and his relationships with former models Anita Pallenberg and Patti Hansen, now his wife.
However Richards, who has been treated for heroin addiction, is likely to give more space to his drug abuse in the memoir.
Some reports have questioned whether Keef would remember enough of his past to write a book.
But in response to this uncertainty Victor has already insisted that memory wouldn't be an issue since Richards would team up with his friend and noted non-fiction author James Fox to pen the book.
