Coldplays fourth album to have Hispanic theme

Fans of British rock band Coldplay will get to hear songs based on Hispanic theme in their fourth album, due next year.

London, July 26 : Fans of British rock band Coldplay will get to hear songs based on "Hispanic theme" in their fourth album, due next year.

In a handwritten message posted on the group's website, the rockers said that recording sessions in Spain and a tour of Latin America earlier this year inspired their new music.

"No maracas or castanets, but a vibrancy and colourfulness that owes much to the atmosphere of Buenos Aires and Barcelona," the BBC quoted the message as saying.

The group have received acclamation across the world on the back of their songs like Yellow, Clocks and Fix You. Their album X and Y was the biggest-selling album in the world in 2005.

The message on the group's website also confirms that there have been tensions among the members in the recording studio.

"Tension is an inherent part of recording. Without tension, there's no focus. What is remarkable is that this friction very rarely ignites into flame," the note reads.

The author of the message uses the alias Prospekt, which fans believe may be the title of the band's latest album. He has written that Coldplay had recently reviewed their progress with producer Brian Eno.

"Very little material got an unreserved thumbs up from everyone. However, far from feeling dispirited, we all came out feeling a lot more confident," the message reads.

It feels a lot better to check the map and know which direction you're headed and how far you've got to go rather than wander around aimlessly and hope for the best," it adds.
