London, July 25 : British royal Prince Charles has declined an offer to guest star in Doctor Who.
Doctor Who producer Phil Collinson approached the Prince with a guest role in this year's Christmas special alongside singer Kylie Minogue.
But the heir to the throne refused to the chance insisting that he loved the programme but was just too busy to take part.
"There was talk that the scriptwriters wanted to turn Prince Charles into a Dalek or a Cyberman but the Prince thought better of it. Maybe they should ask Camilla instead," the Mirror quoted an insider, as saying.
Charles has plenty of TV experience, he made a guest appearance on Coronation Street in 2000 and read his own children's book, The Old Man Of Lochnagar, on Jackanory in 1984.
