Washington, July 21 : Its time for Morrissey to face the music for passing remarks about Madonna joining the adoption bandwagon, for her rep has hit out at the 'The Smiths' singer.
The rep slammed Morrissey saying that by giving such remarks he has actually tarnished his own image.
"In an attempt to trash Madonna, he revealed himself. What kind of a person could even call up such imagery and words?" US Weekly quoted the rep, as saying.
Earlier, the 48-year-old singer/songwriter, during a PETA charity gig on July 9, criticized Madonna for adopting 21-month old David Banda from Malawi last year.
"I wouldn't be surprised if she made that African boy she adopted into a coat and wore him for 15 minutes, then threw it away," Morrissey had said.
