Washington, July 21 : Actor Matt Damon has been heavily influenced by the way his role models Robert De Niro, Meryl Streep, Clint Eastwood, Jack Nicholson and Marlong Brando have kept themselves away from publicity, and he now wants to follow in their footsteps.
The 36-year-old star has now decided to continue staying away from publicity as far as possible, as he strongly believes that great actors always keep their private lives under wraps, and people know very little about them.
"The better the actor, the less you know about his life," Contactmusic quoted him as telling GQ magazine.
"I mean, nobody's better than (Robert) De Niro, and you don't know anything about him, right? Look at Meryl (Streep). We don't know s**t about Meryl. Look at Clint (Eastwood). And Jack (Nicholson). And Brando. Marlon Brando - who f**king knows, right?" he added.
