Terminator franchise facing legal troubles?

Action thriller Terminator 4 is reportedly facing legal troubles over distribution deals.

Melbourne, July 20 : Action thriller 'Terminator 4' is reportedly facing legal troubles over distribution deals.

According to Variety magazine, MGM and Halcyon Co, which have the rights to the franchise, are heading to court now to sort out matters between them, Moviehole reports.Halcyon Co is claiming that MGM, which controls budget, script, director and male lead, was only entitled to a 30 day 'look-see' in the film and the period has now got over.

If the fight goes on, it looks like the Terminator franchise will have further delays to any possible future big screen ventures and will only stick to 'The Sarah Connor Chronicles', the continuation of the Terminator film franchise on TV.

The American television series, which is scheduled to debut on the U.S. television network Fox in early 2008, is produced by Warner Bros. Television and C2-Pictures.

It will revolve around the life of Sarah Connor, and her son, John Connor after the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
