Kelly Clarksons hits are making her an insomniac

American singer Kelly Clarkson has revealed that the reason behind her battle with Insomnia is her songs.

Washington, July 20 : American singer Kelly Clarkson has revealed that the reason behind her battle with Insomnia is her songs.

The former American Idol winner admitted that she is struggling with the sleep disorder, because her songs keep her awake at night.

The 25-year-old singer said that most of her lyrics and hits strike her when she's trying to get to some sleep.

Clarkson added that she has to write them down or record them on the spot, which results in a disturbed sleep.

"The moment a song comes to me, I have to get it out. That's why I have a hard time sleeping, because a lot of those times are at night," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.
