London, July 20 : Sir Elton John who is known for his callous comments on artists ended up apologising to the defunct band Hear'Say for his earlier comments.
Former band member Kym Marsh said that Sir Elton had said that the Brit pop group was the 'ugliest band he has ever seen'.
But, when he was a guest at their Variety performance, he apologised for his remark saying that he has been very 'immature'.
"He'd called us the ugliest band he'd ever seen. Then we did the Variety Performance and he was a guest. He said, 'It was really immature of me,'" the Mirror quoted Marsh, as telling Orange Playlist.
To lighten the situation further the gay music icon turned to Danny Foster and asked him for a date.
"Then he looked at Danny and said, 'Any chance of a date," he added.
