Washington, July 19 : Welsh beauty Catherine Zeta-Jones has slammed reports that she keeps her tresses in shape by indulging in caviar treatment.
Reports had earlier revealed that she uses 200 pounds Beluga caviar that is apparently flown in from Iran five days ahead for her treatments.
However the Oscar winning actress has now slammed the reports, stating that she doesn't do any such thing, and that if her hubby is spending atrocious amounts on money on caviar, she would rather eat it than put it on her hair.
"Is it true that I put caviar and truffles in my hair to keep it glossy? Yes, I spend thousands of dollars. Michael (Douglas, her husband) buys me caviar and truffle oil treatments for my hair. I'm not that dumb. If he was buying me caviar, it'd be in my stomach, not on my head," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.
Reports had also stated that Zeta-Jones gets the treatment at celebrity salon Hari's, where her hair is washed with a truffle-based shampoo, then smeared with the caviar, which is combed through and left to set.
Caviar is proven to work as a conditioning therapy. The essential fatty acids it contains produce collagen and keratin, two proteins vital for the appearance of sleek hair.
