London, July 19 : Former 'Monty Python' star Terry Gilliam is reportedly in talks with chart-topping band Gorillaz to direct a new movie starring the musicians.
Band's creator Damon Albarn, who earned fame as the lead singer of English rock group 'Blur', had recently announced that Gorillaz would not release more albums. He also said that the band was contemplating starting a film project later this year.
Sources have now revealed that Albarn has approached Gilliam for the purpose of their entry into the world of cinema.
"Terry has been approached about being involved as Damon is an admirer of his work. It would be rather nice for someone of Gilliam's age-to be seen to be up-to-date with musical trends!" the Daily Express quoted an insider as saying.
