Washington, July 12 : Michael Caine and Jude Law starrer 'Sleuth' is set for a world premier at the 64th Venice Film Festival.
The actors and director Kenneth Branagh will reportedly attend the premier at Lido, Variety magazine reports.
The remake of 1972 film 'Sleuth' centres on Andrew Wyke, a wealthy writer of detective novels who delights in playing elaborate games.
The remake has a screenplay by 2005 Nobel Prize winner Harold Pinter.
Caine who played the role of Milo Tindle in the original flick stars as Wyke while Law stars as Tindle in the remake.
Branagh announced the remake of the film on September 7, 2006, at the Venice Film Festival.
Meanwhile, the film festival, which will run from August 29 to September 8, 2007, will open with Joe Wright's 'Atonement' and is set to close with Chinese action flick Blood Brothers'.
