Antonio Banderas laughs off marital trouble rumours

Antonio Banderas has laughed off rumours that his marriage to Melanie Griffith is on the rocks, and theyre on the verge of breaking up.

Washington, July 1 : Antonio Banderas has laughed off rumours that his marriage to Melanie Griffith is on the rocks, and they're on the verge of breaking up.

The sexy Spaniard insists to Closer magazine that he's as much in love with his wife today, as he was when he first met her.

"When we met each other we just fell in love and went for it. We both came from failing relationships and I think we both learnt from that," Hollywoodrag.com quoted him, as saying.

Banderas also rues not taking up the bet of newspapers who predicted that the couple's marriage in 1996 would only last three months.

"I know that people didn't give a penny for our relationship at the start and newspapers bet that we wouldn't last three months. I should have taken those bets," he said.

"We've kept going and I have absolutely no intention of breaking off our relationship. I feel absolutely comfortable with my wife.

"These days I am happy to stay at home. We love each other. It's as simple as that," he added.

Banderas will now be seen on the big screen in August when his film 'Bordertown' hits theatres. The movie also stars Jennifer Lopez.
