Sienna Miller awarded highest ever claim over privacy violation

Actress Sienna Miller has been awarded more than 37,000 pounds after winning a privacy claim against British tabloids The Sun and the News of the World.

Washington, Dec 08 : Actress Sienna Miller has been awarded more than 37,000 pounds after winning a privacy claim against British tabloids The Sun and the News of the World.

The actress' representatives had successfully argued that photos published in the tabloids of her filming a nude scene for upcoming film Hippie Hippie Shake represented an invasion of privacy.

The payout, which is being doled out after legal action was launched in October, is thought to be the highest ever over the publication of intrusive photos in the UK.

As well as News International's News of the World and The Sun, Xposure Photo Agency is also meeting part of the costs, which are in addition to Miller's legal expenses.

The ruling means that the photos must be deleted and never republished, reports Contactmusic.
