Jamie Chung signs on to star in Dragonball

Actress Jamie Chung has signed on to star in upcoming movie Dragonball along side Justin Chatwin and James Marsters.

Washington, Dec 7 : Actress Jamie Chung has signed on to star in upcoming movie 'Dragonball' along side Justin Chatwin and James Marsters.

The film is based on the Japanese comic book series about an adult humanoid alien called Goku (Chatwin) who tries to fulfil his dying grandfather's wish by collecting all seven mystical Dragonballs to keep them away from evil aliens, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Chung will play the role Chi Chi - Goku's lover as he grew up - while 'Buffy' star Marsters is to play bad guy Piccolo who wants to take over the world.

James Wong is directing the science fiction action-adventure and Stephen Chow will be producing.

The manga, created by Akira Toriyama and published by Tokyo's Jump Comics, was adapted into graphic novels, video games and a successful television series that ran in Europe, Asia, Latin America and North America.

Chung, whose credits include ABC's 'Samurai Girl' and 'Greek,' is repped by Gersh and Kritzer/Levine/Wilkins Entertainment.
