The Queen is on the look out for a new gardener

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is on the look out for a new gardener.

London, Dec 29 : Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is on the look out for a new gardener.

The details of the job stated that the successful applicant would be joining a team of eight and caring for the grounds at Balmoral on Royal Deeside, Scotland.

And they will also get the chance to live in a cottage on the estate, reports The Sun.

The locally advertised post states that the applicant must have general experience as well as knowledge of fruit and vegetables.

Queen Victoria's husband Prince Albert had started the Balmoral gardens, which have been expanded and improved by successive members of the Royal Family.

They were first opened to the public in 1931 and now attract over 70,000 visitors every year.

A large kitchen garden added by the Duke of Edinburgh is harvested between August and October when the royals are in residence.
