Rumour has it that pop princess Kylie Minogue will headline the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras festival next year.

Sydney, Dec 26 : Rumour has it that pop princess Kylie Minogue will headline the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras festival next year.

Reports have been circulating that the Aussie sensation would be the main act at the 30th anniversary of the annual event.

And now Minogue has confirmed her interest, telling DNA magazine that she would "absolutely love" to perform at the parade, reports News.com.au.

The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, held in February, is an annual gay pride parade and festival for the LGBT community in Sydney, Australia.

Meanwhile Minogue has teamed up with Sir Paul McCartney to do a duet for the New Year.The double act will be aired on British TV on New Year's Eve (31Dec07), as they welcome a fresh year.
