Nicholas Cage starrer National Treasure: Book of Secrets has become the top-grossing weekend film, according to estimates compiled by Exhibitor Relations.

Washington, Dec 24 : Nicholas Cage starrer 'National Treasure: Book of Secrets' has become the top-grossing weekend film, according to estimates compiled by Exhibitor Relations.

The film hauled in 45.5 million dollars to lead the holiday competition, followed by Will Smith starrer 'I Am Legend' which earned a moolah of 34.2 million dollars.

The third spot was secured by Alvin and the Chipmunks after grossing 29 million dollars, reports E! Online.

Charlie Wilson's War, which is adapted from George Crile's 2003 book 'Charlie Wilson's War: The Extraordinary Story of the Largest Covert Operation in History' grabbed the fourth position on list after making 9.6 million dollars.

Tim Burton directed 'Sweeney Todd', which stars Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter earned the fifth position in the box-office list after grossing 9.4 million dollars.

'P.S. I Love You' grabbed the sixth slot with 6.5 million dollars as its earnings.

The list was rounded off with 'Enchanted' making 4.2 million dollars, 'Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story' making 4.1 million dollars, 'The Golden Compass' making 4 million dollars and 'Juno' making 3.4 million dollars.

The list of the top-grossing weekend films compiled by Exhibitor Relations:
