Jamie Lynn Spears beau and the father of her unborn baby, Casey Aldridge has been advised by his uncle Odus Jackson to accept the responsibility for the pregnancy.
Washington, Dec 23 : Jamie Lynn Spears' beau and the father of her unborn baby, Casey Aldridge has been advised by his uncle Odus Jackson to accept the responsibility for the pregnancy.
In an interview from his office at the Galilee Baptist Church in Gloster, Miss., Jackson said that his nephew should put on the man's shoes now.
"I'd like to tell Casey that he may not like it, but it's time for him to put on the man shoes," People quoted him, as saying.
Jackson, who serves as the pastor in the church, said that he's trying to contact his nephew, who is planning to be in Tennessee with his parents for Christmas.
However, Jackson did not reveal Aldridge's whereabouts exactly, but a source close to the family revealed that the 18-year-old Gloster native is not in Louisiana or Mississippi.
"I don't want to get in their family business, and I don't think they want me in their family business, but there's going to be a baby involved, and [Casey] has responsibilities," said Jackson.
"There are a lot of things that are in the way [and] that will make it tough to last," he added.
Jackson further said that he and the Aldridges have been swamped with calls from media outlets ever since Spears and her mother Lynne went public with the pregnancy.
"We don't have anything to hide. We've all done things in our lives we're ashamed of, things people never know about. But if this wasn't the Spears family - a famous family - no one would be making this kind of deal about it," he said.
