Washington, Dec 19: Canadian actress Kim Cattrall has donated her'Sex And The City' fur coats to animal-rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
The 51-year-old actress' character Samantha Jones wears the coats in the movie adaptation of the hit American TV series.
PETA is now planning to distribute these coats to the homeless people so that they can keep warm during winters.
"The only people who can be excused for wearing fur are the homeless - to keep warm during the winter," Contactmusic quoted a spokesperson as telling PlanetGossip.eonline.com
All the furs donated to PETA are given to the homeless and used during protests. They are also displayed in various animal-rights exhibitions and events.
