Rhona Mitra has signed on to star in the indie thriller The Boy in the Box.

Washington, Dec 18 : Rhona Mitra has signed on to star in the indie thriller "The Boy in the Box".

The actress now joins Josh Lucas and Jon Hamm in the A2 Entertainment Group and Code Entertainment flick.

The movie has Hamm, a small-town police chief setting out to discover the truth behind the mummified remains of a boy who was murdered a half-century earlier.

Mitra plays the police chief's wife, who is trying to move on after the disappearance of their own son eight years earlier.

Lucas plays the father of the murdered boy, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Anders Anderson is directing the pic from a screenplay penned by Glenn Taranto.

Pic is being produced by A2's Anderson and Andy Steinman and Code Entertainment's Al Corley, Bart Rosenblatt and Eugene Musso.
