London, Dec 16 : Las Vegas will now have competition when it comes to gambling, for Spain has decided to build a gambling den of its own in the Spanish desert.
The gambling city, to be called as the Gran Scala resort, will be as huge as the Sin City and will be built in the parched Aragon region between Madrid and Barcelona.
It will be the world's second biggest gambling hub.
The resort, which is said to be valued at 12 billion pounds, will have 32 casinos, 70 hotels, 232 restaurants, a golf course and even a bullfighting ring.
There will also be a few additions like replicas of pyramids, Roman temples as well as a theme park called Spyland.
The development of water, energy and transport infrastructure, which has been placed at 180 million pounds, will start next year in 2008.
"There will not be another complex like it in Europe," The Sun quoted Nicholas Khin, of the consortium behind the project, as saying.
Developers have predicted that, by the year 2015, the resort will have 25 million people a year visiting it.
