Washington, Dec 13 :Music icon Madonna and her hubby Guy Ritchie will be able to keep their adopted son, Malawian toddler David Banda.
The couple have passed a visit from a Malawi social welfare official with flying colours, according to a government report.
The reports was obtained by In Touch Weekly, and states that Madonna is a 'confident and able parent'.
"Mrs. Ritchie presents a confident and able parent. There are clear indications that David is becoming a happy, secure toddler," the magazine quoted the report, as stating.
The official document also stated that it was in the 'best interest' of toddler David that Madge and Guy be allowed to adopt him.
The singer filed for adoption in October 2006 but a controversy ensued over the time it had taken for the adoption, and the fact that the baby's birth father was still alive.
The couple now plan to adopt a little girl.
