Washington, Dec 12 : Legendary actor Sir Dustin Hoffman has branded himself a kleptomaniac because he has the habit of taking a memento from the set of every film he works on.
The 70-year-old actor has a huge collection of props from his 40-year career in the Hollywood film industry, and is still going on with his hobby into old age.
"I am a kleptomaniac. Any time I'm on a movie set I look around and I just go up to the prop man and say, 'Can you life something for me?' I don't do it in real life," Contactmusic quoted Hoffman, as saying.
The actor recently revealed that he once turned down a chance to star in a Martin Scorsese movie because he thought that the director was 'crazy'.
The film, as it turned out, happened to be 'Taxi Driver' - a part that went to Robert De Niro and turned him into a huge star, along with Jodie Foster, and Harvey Keitel.
