Legendary star Marilyn Monroes battered and chewed spectacles are all set to be auctioned off at Film and Entertainment Memorabilia sale at Christies next week.
Washington, Dec 12: Legendary star Marilyn Monroe's battered and chewed spectacles are all set to be auctioned off at Film and Entertainment Memorabilia sale at Christie's next week.
The glasses to be auctioned off come in a black silk case lined in white and include the label: "Made especially for you by Devonaire of California."
The lucky bidder will also receive a reproduction of a colour photograph of the legend wearing a pair of sunglasses in a similar style, reports Contactmusic.
The reading glasses are expected to fetch 6,000 pounds at the auction.
Also up for grabs are the original Spitting Image puppets of Lady Thatcher and ex-Beatle Sir Paul McCartney which are expected to fetch between 1,000 pounds and 1,500 pounds.
