London, Dec 10 : Sports stars have handed celebs such as Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue a beating when it comes to selling calendars.
The likes of Williams and Minogue have been dropped out of the top 10 chart of best-selling 2008 calendars, and been replaced by sports stars.
And, the news comes from Europe's biggest calendar maker, Danilo, which revealed that though Williams had been the best-selling for the last two years, he failed to make it to the biggest-selling titles for 2008, reveals the Daily Snack.
Kylie Minogue has also been booted out of the top 10 despite having a place there for more than five years.
The sports calendars have now instead overtaken the pop stars calendars with the biggest sales for 2008.
Topping the list for the biggest-selling calendar for 2008 is Disney's High School Musical, followed by Liverpool Football Club in second place.
Third spot went to another football giant Manchester United.
The top five was rounded off by TV serial 'Doctor Who' and the World Wrestling Entertainment which came in fourth and fifth place respectively.
