Washington, Aug. 9 : Actor Matt Damon took the membership of a number of late-night jazz clubs when he was working in London in 2002, so that he could drink till wee hours.
The actor was appearing on stage in the West Ends in Kenneth Lonergan's 'This is Our Youth' at that time.
He says that local pubs in the capital city of England would close at 11 pm, and the only alternative he was left with was to join the late-night clubs that offered temporary membership.
"There were some great late-night clubs there and some great jazz clubs. They are pretty nice about actors visiting - they give you temporary membership!" Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
"The pubs shut down at 11pm so I had to join these club-like places," he said.
