Dylan biopic to be released at Gothams Film Forum

Legendry singer Bob Dylans biopic Im Not There is set for a rather unusual US release at Gothams Film Forum where it will play for two weeks.

Washington, Aug 7 : Legendry singer Bob Dylan's biopic 'I'm Not There' is set for a rather unusual US release at Gotham's Film Forum where it will play for two weeks.

The Tod Haynes film will run concurrently at Lincoln Plaza that has been the launch pad of films like 'The Queen' and 'Last King of Scotland', Variety magazine reports.

The Weinstein Co.'s pic would have already been premiered at the 64th Venice Film Festival (August 29 to September 8, 2007) before its Film Forum release.

The Gotham release however violates the 'clearance' that stops any pic playing at Film Forum also running at another Manhattan site.

The film stars actors Marcus Carl Franklin, Ben Whishaw, Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Richard Gere, and Cate Blanchett who will depict six different stages in Dylan's life.

The pic began shooting in late July 2006 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

A limited US release of the film is expected for November 21, 2007.
