New York, Aug 6 : Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is recovering from her health woes with the support from her family, in Long Island, her father has confirmed.
On August 3, the actress headed for Kennedy airport with her younger sister, Ali.
The 'Mean Girls' star is with her mother, grand mum and three siblings in their native place
Lohan's mum Dina claimed that the troubled starlet 'is doing well'.
Her estranged father Michael Lohan said that he hopes to contact his daughter to help her cope with her problems
"If it is true that she's in New York, I hope we'll have contact. I'll help her in every possible way I can. I think it's a good thing that she's back with her family. Hopefully, the only element missing is myself," the New York Post quoted him, as saying.
"Lindsay has to get away from the people she's around in L.A. She needs to have her father and her mother in her life," he added.
The actress seemed to have gone in hiding following her latest DUI arrest in Santa Monica on July 24.
Cops said that they found cocaine in her possession.
She is due to appear in court on August 24.
