London, Aug 31 : Owen Wilson's former girlfriend has revealed that the actor seemed a 'happy man' just a month before he attempted suicide.
Fashion designer Stephanie Conley, who dated Wilson in 2005, met him in Italy, when the actor was on a vacation in July.
Conley suggested that something might 'have gone very wrong in his personal life' for him to take such an extreme step.
"I saw him very recently and he was on vacation and having such an amazing time," the Mirror quoted Conley, as saying.
"Obviously something has gone very wrong in his personal life since then but he was so happy - I just don't understand," she added.
Conley also said that she is devastated by the 'Wedding Crashers' star's attempt to end his life.
Wilson is recuperating at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, after slashing his wrists and drug overdose.
