The 'Simple Life' star, who has been sentenced to four days in prison for DUI, said that she owes the baby her life.
"I owe the baby my life. I owe this baby everything and I have a responsibility now. I'm now responsible for someone else," Contactmusic quoted her, as telling on TV show 'Good Morning America'."I need to set the right example. I would really want to be someone my child would look up," she added.
On the show, she announced that she is expecting her first child with beau Joel Madden.
Richie is due to serve time by September 28, this year.
