Madonnas adoption of Malawian toddler David Banda is apparently getting disturbed by the disclosure of her intimate and explicit photographs.
London, August 3 : Madonna's adoption of Malawian toddler David Banda is apparently getting disturbed by the disclosure of her intimate and explicit photographs.
The singer's lawyers are fighting to prevent a collection of love letters and personal photographs from being made public at the same time as she tries to make her adoption of David permanent.
Malawi's child welfare service is reconsidering the adoption deal after learning that an investment company, Marquee Capital, specialising in Madonna memorabilia, is auctioning the 17 notes and seven Polaroid snaps that Madge sent in the early 1990s to erstwhile boyfriend James Albright.
Some of the pictures, taken by the singer herself, show her naked in explicit poses. The collection also includes personal items such as underwear which Madonna reportedly sent to Albright during their two-year relationship.
A source at Marquee Capital claims that rather than being simply sensational, the snaps and notes actually give a captivating insight into the singer and the workings of her mind at the time.
"It's not all about sex. Some of the notes and letters talk of her world falling apart, others talk of her feeling really low and down. She talks of Albright being the best looking guy in the world and that he does not open up enough to her," the Daily Mail quoted the source, as saying.
And now, the American Life singer is said to be shattered after learning about the impending arrival of such items in the market especially at such a sensitive time.
The head of Malawi's child welfare service is about to spend a week with Madonna and her family in London to gauge whether they are fit to adopt baby David Banda permanently.
The singer and her husband Guy Ritchie are said to be "dreading" the looming visit by Penston Kilembe, who will stay up to five days at the family's Marylebone house as part of a "home study".
