It looks like actress Ellen Barkin isnt satisfied with the 40 million dollars she got as a divorce settlement from ex-hubby entrepreneur Ronald Perelman, for she has filed a case asking for more money.
New York, Aug 3 : It looks like actress Ellen Barkin isn't satisfied with the 40 million dollars she got as a divorce settlement from ex-hubby entrepreneur Ronald Perelman, for she has filed a case asking for more money.
In a suit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court Barkin has sought for an additional 3.4 million dollars.
In the suit, the 53-year-old clams that Perelman agreed to pay the sum to her production house in Applehead Pictures, after he became a partner.
"It was set up to give Ellen and her brother something to do. He didn't have a job," the New York Post quoted a source, as saying.
In the paper filed, Barkin has said that Perelman settled ''to provide over 3 million dollars in capital contributions to Applehead in eight payments, four each during 2006 and 2007. Despite numerous requests to abide by the terms of his agreement, Perelman has not made a single one of these payments.'
A source alleged that Barkin 'just wanted attention' and not the money.
The entrepreneur's rep said that the actress hasn't 'complied with any of the agreements'.
"She has not complied with any of her obligations under the agreement," his spokesperson said.
However, the Emmy-award winner's rep has insisted that the matter is strictly professional and has nothing to do with the divorce.
"This lawsuit has nothing to do with Ellen's acting career or her divorce from Ron. It's strictly a business matter. At the moment, she couldn't be happier. She just came off of one of the biggest movies of the summer." The rep said.
