Documentary reignites Kennedy conspiracy theory in Monroes suicide

For nearly forty years, people have speculated that screen legend Marilyn Monroes death was not a mere suicide, but something more sinister. Now, a New York based documentary producer has claimed that he has new evidence that she was murdered.

New York, Aug 3 : For nearly forty years, people have speculated that screen legend Marilyn Monroe's death was not a mere 'suicide', but something more sinister. Now, a New York based documentary producer has claimed that he has new evidence that she was murdered.

Producer Keya Morgan revealed to the New York Daily News that rumours that former President John F Kennedy and his brother Robert were behind Monroe's death were in fact true.

Morgan, a dealer in historical documents and manuscripts who is making a documentary on Monroe, revealed that the night the sex symbol had reportedly overdosed on sleeping pills, she was paid a visit by Bobby Kennedy, and that an FBI agent was listening in on the movie star from outside her home.

"I have interviewed the FBI agent who is now in his late 80s, with prostate cancer, who was listening in on Marilyn in a van outside her home the night she died," the New York Daily News quoted Morgan, as saying.

"He saw [then U.S. Attorney General] Bobby Kennedy and other men go inside the house.

"He heard them screaming and yelling in the guest cottage. They were in the guest cottage, not in her bedroom where her body was found," he added.

Morgan said he was inspired to make the documentary after becoming friends with Monroe's first husband, James Dougherty.

As a part of his research for the documentary, he interviewed former L.A. Police Chief Darryl Gates, first LAPD officer on the scene Jack Clements, Monroe neighbor Abe Landau and Beverly Hills detective Lynn Franklin.

The documentary has tentatively been titled "Death on Helena Dr."

Monroe was found dead by her housekeeper on August 5, 1962. Her death was ruled as an overdose of sleeping pills. Questions remain about the circumstances and timeline of housekeeper Eunice Murray's discovery of Monroe's body.

Also, some conspiracy theories involve John and Robert Kennedy. The official cause of her death was "probable suicide".
