Washington, August 28 : Oliver Stone is teaming up with Tom Cruise to bring to life another flick on the Vietnam War - "Pinkville".
"Pinkville" is based on the investigation of the 1968 My Lai massacre. The movie stars Bruce Willis and Channing Tatum.
Mikko Alanne will write the script, with Stone directing.
Cruise's United Artists is said to be finalising a deal with Stone to finance the movie, reports Variety.
This would be Stone's fourth film on Vietnam War, followed by Oscar winner "Platoon," "Heaven and Earth" and "Born on the Fourth of July."
"Pinkville" reunites Stone and Tom Cruise, who starred in "Born on the Fourth of July".
The production of the film will begin early next year if the budget of roughly 40 million dollar is finalized by UA this week.
"Pinkville," is the depiction on military maps for the region My Lai.
Bruce Willis will play Army Gen. William R. Peers, who supervised the investigation of the massacre and Tatum will play Hugh Thompson, a helicopter pilot.
