English singer Steven Patrick Morrissey has reportedly declined a 40 million-pound offer to reunite with former band The Smiths.
London, Aug. 25 : English singer Steven Patrick Morrissey has reportedly declined a 40 million-pound offer to reunite with former band 'The Smiths'.
He was offered to join the band on their 50 dates world tour. The band was to include Johnny Marr.
However, Morrissey's abhorrence of Marr made him to drop the proposal. He is now concentrating on his own tour.
"In an effort to stop the speculation and kill off the rumour mongers who seem to use these things to take advantage of committed fans, we can tell you that one thing the future will not bring is a Smiths reunion tour," the Sun quoted him as saying as he announced American dates of his tour in the autumn.
Morrissey and Marr's long-running feud has lasted since The Smiths split up around two decades ago.
